The Cambria Water Quality Lab analyzes water, wastewater, Surface Water, and sludge for process control, permitting and public safety purposes. The lab is certified by the State Health Department.

Water Analyses
Water samples are sent to a lab for testing. The results are reported to the Office of Drinking Water in Santa Barbara.

Wastewater Monitoring
Wastewater and groundwater samples are analyzed for Suspended Solids, COD, BOD, Conductivity, TDS, Chlorides, Sodium, Hardness, Nitrates, pH, and Coliforms. Monitoring reports are submitted to the Regional Water Quality Control Board in San Luis Obispo.

Biosolids
Biosolids are analyzed for percent moisture. Biosolids monitoring reports are submitted to the EPA in San Francisco.

Process Controll
Process control tests include Suspended Solids, Volatile Solids, Settleable Solids, pH, and 30" Set.

 Surface Water Monitoring
The Laboratory also monitors San Simeon and Santa Rosa Lagoons for Temperature, Salinity, Dissolved Oxygen, and Flow. Annual monitoring reports are published by D.W. Alley and Associates.
